Building God's Dream Together

The purpose of this ministry is to simply cultivate opportunity to grow, serve, reach, and witness to this community with the love of Jesus Christ.

This Ministry Center will provide space for our church to gather, fellowship, and welcome those who are yet to come.

Student Ministries

This space, along with the gym, will give students a welcoming place for worship, connection, and discipleship in an environment designed just for them.   Interested in our Student Ministries?

Outreach

This dedicated space, along with the gym, will create a welcoming environment for students to worship, connect, grow in discipleship, and encounter God together.

Worship Center

The auxiliary space will have the ability to host a variety of worship services.

Lamb's Care

This Ministry Center will provide space for our church to gather, fellowship, and welcome those who are yet to come. This dedicated space, along with the gym, will create a welcoming environment for students to worship, connect, grow in discipleship, and encounter God together. Since 1990, our Lamb’s Care ministry has taught young children about Jesus. The new building will provide a modernized space for Lamb’s care, enhancing learning and allowing us to serve more students.  We would love to share more about our Lamb's Care ministry with you.

Children's Ministry

The construction of this Ministry Center will create the opportunity for the current Fellowship Hall to be remodeled into a space just for kids.

History

Back in 2023, our congregation met in members' homes to discuss the future of VGMC.  With  information gathered,  we  began our  focus on finding a Youth Pastor as well as building a Ministry Center.  This Ministry Center is not only for our church to grow, but to live out our faith in action through our community.
Our Church Council voted to begin the process of a new Ministry Center as well as expanding opportunities for ministry in the community.
Discussions began with Tarheel Building Systems and a plan was developed as to our specifications.  The overall estimated total cost of the Ministry Center is $2.1 million.  The Church Council has determined we will raise 67% of the funds required prior to construction.  Our ultimate goal is to pay for the Ministry Center before we finish construction to avoid financing altogether.
On June 1, 2025 , Connie Stutts, Presiding Elder over the New Bern District, facilitated   over our congregational vote to proceed with funding and construction of the Ministry Center.
On October18, 2025, a committee of church members driven by a shared vision for kingdom impact, was formed.  The Dream Team is bridge-building between our current needs and our future potential. By focusing on sustainable funding and strategic planning, they are securing a foundation where ministry can flourish for generations.
