"Walk the Story" Bible Study

Starting on April 24th, VGMC will be hosting a 4 week Bible study called "Walk the Story" led by Pastor David Sawyer. David is on staff with a missions organization called "With Purpose International" that reaches people with the Gospel in a variety of ways around the world. Through this ministry, David is connected with a ministry in Israel called "Walk the Story" founded by teacher John Farwell. This ministry leads trips to the Holy Land for Christians who want to make the pilgrimage to see the land in which our Bible's stories and teachings take place. David has been studying under John and online at Jerusalem University College. David now leads trips himself to Israel, when it is safe to do so, passionately teaching through the ancient eastern Jewish lense and bringing the Bible to life in a refreshing way. His expertise and experience provides a perspective that deepens an everyday reader's understanding of the Biblical text, creating a way for the scriptures to be interpreted accurately, effectively, and in meaningful detail. David teaches classes and leads Bible studies across Eastern NC in churches, businesses, and ministry centers for Christians to catch a glimpse of the beauty and depth of our Holy Scriptures, and be more equipped to read it themselves. The Bible study we are offering will be an opportunity for you to "walk the story of the Holy Land right here at home." 
"Walk the Story" will be a 4 week class starting on April 24th, meeting weekly until May 15th. The class will be held in the fellowship hall from 6:30 to 8:00 and sign ups will be available until April 24th (the day of) and is open to anyone who wants to come. We highly recommend this class for anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of God, his word, and how to interpret it.
